Buying a home can be fun and stressful all at the same time! My job is to help you find a home, keep the transaction on track and to remove as much stress as possible.
Buying a home and the buying process includes finding a real estate agent that you trust, looking at properties and making an offer. Once your offer is accepted, the closing (or escrow process) begins. During that time, you will have your home inspected by a licensed home inspector, another inspector will visit the house to check for termites and other wood destroying insects, your lender will order an appraisal and your attorney will start a title search. You may also want to have the property surveyed so you will know exactly where your lot lines are. You will need to secure homeowners’ insurance prior to closing and schedule your utilities to be turned on in your name.
Lots of things happen in the 30-45 days it takes to get a home closed after your offer gets accepted! Over the next few weeks, I will discuss each step of the home buying process and what you can expect. Ask questions! My job is to help you understand and guide you through the home buying process.
