Spring Bike Rally

Spring Bike Rally

Welcome to Spring Bike Rally 2023 (also called Myrtle Beach Bike Week or Harley Week). This year marks the 84th annual Myrtle Beach Bike Week)!! This year’s rally started Friday, May 12, 2023. It runs through Sunday, May 21, 2023 and attracts local riders as well as riders from out-of-town.

Events happen all over the Grand Strand with a lot of the events happening in and around Murrells Inlet. Events range from stunt events, charity rides, live bands, bike shows and vendors. It’s also always fun to walk around and see the beautiful and intricate paint jobs on the bikes.

Murrells Inlet is the perfect backdrop for riding your motorcycle and attending events during Bike Week. Not only can you enjoy beautiful ocean, marsh and river views while riding your bike, but you can also enjoy the local community. Murrells Inlet has so much to offer!!

Bikes from 2023

Thanks to a friend of mine for taking these pictures of bikes she saw during the Spring Bike Rally 2023.

Where to Get a Drink and Food

Grab a beer and people watch at the Beaver Bar or Suck, Bang, Blow, eat some local seafood at Russell’s Seafood Grill and Raw Bar. All of the restaurants along the Marshwalk in Murrells Inlet are busy during the Spring Bike Rally and great places to get a drink or some food. Buy some local seafood at Seven Seas and cook it at home. If you are out early and need a coffee, stop by the Brown Fox Coffee Box next to Creek Ratz.

Restaurants along the Marshwalk also have live bands throughout the week so be sure to check their calendar.

Water Activities

While you are in town, you might want to check out some of the great water activities Murrells Inlet has to offer.

Charter a fishing boat from Outlaw Fishing Charters if you are up for a big adventure. They offer half-day, 3-hour evening and all-day fishing trips. The Outlaw, Renegade and Desperado are docked beside J. Peters on the Marshwalk.

Paddleboards and kayaks can be rented from Express Watersports. They also offer jet ski eco tours, parasailing, banana boat rides, dolphin watch tours and sunset cruises.

For kayaking guided tours, I highly recommend the 2-Hour Salt Marsh Tour from Black Water Outdoors. During this tour, you can possibly see dolphins, sea turtles, crabs, fish and birds. They offer several guided kayak tours including 4-hour tours and full moon tours.

There’s also always the beach! You may find yourself enjoying one of our beaches…from Pawleys Island to North Myrtle Beach. The closest beaches to Murrells Inlet are Garden City Beach and Huntington Beach State Park, which does require admission but is well worth it!

Golf

Golf is always an option when visiting Murrells Inlet, and there are some wonderful golf courses within a short drive from wherever you are in Murrells Inlet.

All of these courses are public so check out their webpages and schedule a tee time!

Buying a Property in Murrells Inlet

I know may of you come from out-of-state to enjoy the Grand Strand in general and Murrells Inlet specifically. It’s easy to fall in love with our area and you may find yourself wishing you had your own place at the beach.

That’s where I can help! I have been selling real estate along the beach since 2004. You will find that some neighborhoods (especially condo complexes) do not allow motorcycles. That rule is especially important if riding motorcycles is your hobby.
